He studied at the University of Santo Tomas Conservatory of Music where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music, major in Choral-Conducting under Prof. Ricardo Mazo, Prof. Herminigildo Ranera, Prof. Fidel Calalang and Rev. Fr. Nilo Mangussad. He finished his Masters Degree in Choral-Conducting at the St. Paul University Manila and graduated magna cum laude under the guidance of Prof. Eudenice Palaruan.
Lester is a faculty member of Centro Escolar University Conservatory of Music teaching Advance Counterpoint, Composition, Orchestration, Music Technology, Solfeggio and Choral Arranging Classes both in the Undergraduate and Graduate School. He conducts the Centro Escolar University Singers-Makati that recently won Gold Medals at the 3rd Bali International Choral Competition in Bali Indonesia last August 2014.
He also conducts the Philippine Tourism Chorale, the official choir of the Department of Tourism, Globe Voices of Globe Company and the Vocalismo Choral Group, a professional singing group whose members are mostly graduates of UST Conservatory of Music.
He is one of the founders of KOMPOSITOR, a group of Filipino Composers that promotes Filipino Choral Competition.
Lastly, knowing his mission in life, he composed ten(10) Misa Delgado Books as his contribution to the development of Liturgical Music of the Catholic Church.
