RAFAEL SERRALLET (SPAIN)

Rafael Serrallet studied singing with Conxa Ruiz in the Conservatory of Carcaixent (Valencia – Spain) and Manuela Muñoz in the Alicante Conservatory. He sang initially as a tenor in different Valencian choirs such as Veus Juntes and Navarro Reverter and then went on to sing for 5 years in the professional choir “Cor de la Generalitat Valenciana” (former Cor de Valencia), with symphonic choral and opera repertoire.

He has attended choral conducting courses in Lleida, Barcelona, Segorbe and Murcia and studied under the main current choral Spanish conductors such a David Gálvez Pintado, Lluís Vila, Mireia Barrero or Pep Vila.

Rafael Serrallet is the founder of the Andarella Choir, which he established in his hometown Xirivella 20 years ago. He conducted the choir for the first five years and participated in concerts in Spain and France where they were awarded and succeeded in various competitions. Likewise, he was director of the Choral Festival and the Christmas Concerts season in Xirivella from 1991 to 1995.

 Rafael Serrallet is the current Artistic director of YOCCA (Youth Orchestra and Choir of Central America).
